F-Troop - Monday 28th March 2011

We had 8 F-Troopers on duty today getting some good work done. We had Geoff Bridge, Des Wilson, Duncan Dyer, Warren Gray, Fred Middleton, Georgina Lamb, Anne Burgess and Martin Gallagher.

Georgina Lamb did a great job of cleaning up the side and front car park. Anne Burgess worked on the camellias i "Camellia Way"and picked up rubbish along the 18th fairway.

The boys took care of some smaller low branches along the 4th and dead wood on the 6th fairway.

The course was being rated today and the greenstaff have commenced maintenance on the greens so the place was very busy.

We need some extra volunteer workers on the 18th & 19th April for 4 hours either in the morning or the afternoon to assist with the stump removal program that F-Troop working on.

Please contact Martin Gallagher or myself if you have time to assist.

We are currently at Albany WA. We travelled from Mandurah on an alternative route via Boddington and Wagin which took us through farmland & bushland that had blackboy plants growing naturally by the hundreds on the roadside. The weather has clouded over which is not a problem as we are not golfing today.
