Golf - Sunday 13th February 2011

Up to the late afternoon it was a great day for golf - some cloud cover and a gentle breeze which made it very pleasant to be out on the course. We were caught on the last four holes with light rain to start with that got increasingly heavier so the late players would have got quite wet.
Our playing partners were Doug and Robin Incoll and we had a great day. None of us had superb scores nor disgraceful scores but we did have some good highlights with good drives, chip shots and putts - just not all at the same time. We did not score any birdies but we came very close to 3 and 4 pointers on many occasions missing by just a smidgen.
CONGRATULATIONS go to WALTER LOSCHI for a "HOLE IN ONE" on the 12TH.
Nearest the Pin, EAGLES NEST and HOLE-IN- ONE - not a bad day's work! Well done Walter!

OTHER HIGHLIGHTS: (At least for Peter and I) was a "surprise" presentation from the Board in appreciation of "Outstanding support and valuable time given to the club".
It is always nice to be appreciated - certainly with volunteer work and our thanks go to the Club Board and Members for this acknowledgement. We hastily add that the success of this volunteer work would not be possible without the loyal support of all the F-Troopers who also volunteer their time to the club without expectation of thanks. We accept these acknowledgements on behalf of all the F-Troopers who all work so hard for the betterment of the club.
