Golf - Sunday 19th September 2010

We had a very pleasant day for golf today. It was overcast & threatening at moments but not uncomfortable & we did not get any rain at all which was a good bonus. The course was playing well as you can tell by the good scores that came in & the greens are responding to the recent TLC that they have received in the last couple of weeks. The greens were still slow today but did require an element of good judgement so as the greens get quicker the good judgement will get tested.
Our playing partners were Mark & Anne Stimpson & we did have a lovely day on the village green with Anne playing her first 18 holes in quite a while and managed very well. We did have some great highlights with Mark scoring 43 points and having 4 birdies which was good enough for him to get (would you believe) a ball!
The Event of the day was a 2 Ball Team + Single Stableford Mixed Men and Ladies.
We had 102 starters with 9 visitors from Everglades, Kempsey, New Brighton & Terrigal.
