F-Troop Monday 4th January 2010

For the small contingent of F-Troop workers that we had on hand today we achieved great things. Those troopers on duty were Duncan Dyer, Martin Gallagher, Garry Trigg, Geoff Bridge,
Peter Martin and Warren Gray. It was worth coming today just for the lovely morning tea we had provided by chef John - fruit pastries fresh from the oven - yum!
The main project of the day was to clean the car parks - front, side & back. The front car park was quite a challenge by itself but it was masterfully cleaned and hedges trimmed so that the entrance to the clubhouse now says " come in -You are Welcome " .
The side and back carparks were cleaned as best we could before the cars arrived. We then transferred our efforts to the path from the Pro Shop right down to the first and tenth tees.
Trimming hedges and shrubs & removing rubbish. The troopers then removed crab grass from the 10th and 1st tees, picked up timber from around the course, weeded the small magnolia garden, dead headed the agapanthus & trimmed the hedge around the putting green.
It was a huge workload for such a small crew but the effort made a huge difference to the appearance of the club grounds. Well done F-Troopers!
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
