We had a great day at F-Troop today getting many good projects done.

On hand we had Trevor Harrison, Duncan Dyer, Kevin O’Brien, Rob Benson, Terry Coyle, Sam Knox, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, Ron Gowing, John Hollebon, Di Beechey and Jan Martin.

Projects worked on today were loose timber and rubbish pick up around the course, trimming of the hedges at the 10th and 18th, tidy up around the clubhouse, 1st and 10th tees, clean out of weed from the dams, preparation of firewood, weeding of garden on the Men’s 3rd tee, clean out and removal of lockers from the locker room, cleaning of the bush toilets, weeding the greenspace gardens, planting in more ground cover plants at the 6th native gardens including weeding.

Once again the vandals have arrived. Some low life are frequenting our course again this time removing a 30 metre hose plus fittings that we had just purchased two weeks ago for the 14th bush toilets. These items were paid for by our generous members who donate money so we can purchase plants and equipment for the course. In addition these low life (who must be suffering mental issues) cut the top off some of the agavi plants at the 14th bush toilets and cut the top branches off the pink frangipani at the 15th - not to steal them as the offcuts were left lying on the ground. It is getting to be just another day here on the course.

We appreciated morning tea as we had all done a huge mornings work.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
