We had a lovely day for golf on the Village Green today.  Our playing partners were Wally and Rhonda Robertson who were great company and provided us with some great highlights, the best of which was Rhonda’s long putt on the 17th that was never going to miss.

The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies+ 2 Ball Team Event.

We had 54 starters.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Rhonda Robertson has pars at the 5/8/15/16/17th; Wally Robertson had 4/4 at the 17th, 5/3=at the 6th’ 4/4 on the 9th;;Peter Martin had. Pars on the 14/15/16th; Steve Turner had 42 points including 3 pointer on the 15th, 3 pointer on the 16th, 4 pointer on the 17th and 3 pointer at the 8th; Geraldine Turner enjoyed good company; Lauren Matterson was a steady player; Col Matterson had birdies at the 2nd and the 10th; Clyde Cruickshanks had 38points which included a birdie at the 4th and some good pars; Neville Walker parred the 1st; Jan Walker parred the 12th and the 8th; Kevin O’Brien birdied the 2nd and hit a great shot at the 17th from behind the tree, over the dam and chipped in for a par; Fay Baillie parred the 14th and won nearest the pin and had good pars on the 11th and the 17th; George Foster’s highlights were the boys beat the girls for the keno ticket and finished with the same ball he started with; Annie Brink played 18 holes; my highlights were 3/4 on the 8th and beat my score from last week.
