and Best Eco Friendly Garden

WELL DONE F-TROOPERS!

F-Troop was in full action today with a lot of work to be done - thanks to the high winds that have caused
damage around the course.

Today we had Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Rob Benson, Don Nicholls, Sam Knox,  Martin Gallagher, Peter Martin, Anne Burgess, Di Beechey and Jan Martin to share the load.

The tree gang of Duncan, Trevor, Don & Martin took care of some undercutting of the trees around the course.

Sam put in a good mornings work testing out a chipping machine to see if we can use the leaves, twigs and small branches littering the course to create some garden mulch that we can use on the gardens.

Peter & Rob were jack of all trades, taking care of repair of the watering system at the 18th, repair of the practice nets among other things and rubbish pick up.

Anne took care of mulching and watering at Camellia Way and around the clubhouse including picking up rubbish.

Di & I took care of some watering, rubbish pick up and spreading of mulch.

During the afternoon F-Troopers Des & Yvonne Wilson did some fertilizing and watering and managed to save the two white iceberg standard roses at the putting green that had blown over in the strong winds at lunchtime.

F-Troop received some new F-Troop shirts today so you will easily spot us in our new bright safety yellow.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
