We had a beautiful day for golf - blue sky and sunshine - just as we like it.

My playing partners were Rosemary Cohen and Felicity Mead & we had a lovely day on the village green - too bad about the golf scores - but we did have some highlights - the best being Rosemary's gobbler into the hole at the 9th.

The Golf Event of the day was a Ladies Single Stroke - Club Medal.

We had 72 starters with 3 visitors from Magenta Shores,Terrigal and USA.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me:  Rosemary Cohen had a gobbler at the 9th; Leonie Casey was an improved player; Glennis English was a good player out of luck; Mary Beard played with lovely ladies; Robyn Johnston parred the 15th & 16th; Robin Incoll parred the 7th; Christine Drakeford had a steady game; Lorrainne Linnert had a lovely front 9 and had a par on the 18th after a water penalty; Ann Baker and Helen Potter had wins for us in the pennants yesterday - so "rested" (Ann reported that she was in 24 bunkers today, Helen was on the 6th for two and missed the putt); Di Thomlinson played a nice steady game; Shirley Daly won a ball first game back after being away from golf for an extended time; my highlight was getting out the bunkers in one.

My thanks to Ann Baker for the photo of the "bunker" ball
