We have had so much rain overnight and today that the golf course is basically under water as it is still raining as I write this. To 9 am this morning we had 23.4 mm of rainfall recorded with the showers continuing all day after that.
We had 12 ladies consider golf this morning however as there was no improvement of the weather in sight the Ladies Competition was cancelled.
We are fortunate that the drainage on the course has been vastly improved & we do recover at a much quicker rate than in previous years. Check the website for advice on the state of the course for the following days.
Being winter time - the sunshine has no real depth of heat & the ground is taking so much longer to dry out. We need some good windy days to dry out the water logged soggy bits after this.
