Golf - Friday 29th May 2026

There was no competition golf today due to the course being closed until 12.30 after which social golf was allowed but no carts or trikes.

The forecast indicates we will get a break from rain for a few days which hopefully will give the course a chance to recover.

Golf - Tuesday 26th May 2026 - LADIES OPEN DAY

The weather conditions prevented our planned day of golf today however the luncheon and raffles continued and was enjoyed by a large number of our Lady Golfers including a lot of our visitors.

Congratulations to Sue and our Committee girls for a great day. The Sunset Room looked beautiful dressed in Autumn Leaves attached to twigs from our Magnolia Trees.

We enjoyed a lovely buffet lunch which was followed by the raffle draws which raised in excess of $3000 for charity.

The course was very wet and the decision not to play golf was a good one.

The following photos will indicate the level of enjoyment of the day.

F-TROOP - Monday 25th May 2026

F-Troopers Lyn Bates, Jan Martin and Leeanne Binns being creative at the new garden at 2B Tee.

Work in progress at the new garden at 2B - created by F-Troopers Lyn Bates and Leeanne Binns

F-Troop have transferred the Hoya Plant that was very happily growing up a tree at the fenced garden at the 18th tee to the Ladies Garden at 2A Tee. Hopefully it will settle there and grow happily on the fence.

F-Troop had another busy day today with a depleted number of volunteers for various reasons.

On hand we had Sam Knox, Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O’Brien, Don Nicholls, John Hollebon,
Lyn Bates, Leeanne Binns, Laurelle Freeman and Jan Martin.

Projects worked on today were firewood preparation; Firewood delivery; hedge maintenance and tidy up of the gardens at 2A; moving the excess plants from the 18th to a temporary shady area at 2A Tee area until we can find a permanent home for them ; planting in of the Hoya plant previously growing at the 18th tee garden; tidy up of the climbing vine at the 10th tee; tidy up of the 2B Tee area removing  weeds and rubbish from the tee and levelling out the soil; creating a special garden at 2B including a new garden tricycle feature to add interest to the hole.

The course was very wet today after recent rain so we were restricted with heavy equipment. The course has been deemed unsuitable for play tomorrow. Hopefully we will not get too much more rain this week.

We enjoyed morning tea of fresh sandwiches which was a good reward after a hard mornings work.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

GOLDEN OLDIES LUNCHEON - Monday 25th May 2026

A wet winters day was a bit discouraging for some of our Golden Oldies today but we had a great catch up with some of our ex golfing ladies who enjoy a nice luncheon together every 3 months at Erina Leagues Club.
