F- Troop - Monday 13TH April 2026

 

F-Troop Morning Tea - Sam Knox, Rob Benson, Kevin O’Brien, Dave Medcalf, Don Nicholls, Ray Cheal, (Peter Martin, John Hollebon, Jan Martin)

We had a lot of missing in action today for various reasons. There was plenty of work to be done with previous cut down trees to be chainsawed, picking up falling branches and loose timber after all of the recent high winds, not to mention the thriving weeds in the gardens.

Projects worked on today was chain sawing of timber for firewood supplies, loading and delivering of firewood, loose timber and rubbish pick up around the course, hedge maintenance, more work done in reducing the size of the climbing vine at the 10th tee, emptying of garden rubbish bins, tidy up of gardens at the front of the clubhouse, mulch to the hedge garden at the 10th tee; tidy up of garden at the practice nets and poisoning the weeds in the path; a start made on tidying the gardens at the chipping green.

By morning tea the weather became pleasant after a chilly start, we enjoyed our morning tea of fresh sandwiches.

Golf - Monday 13th April 2026

 There were only 2 starters in the competition today along with a lot of social players.

Golf - Sunday 12th April 2026

 We had a cool start to the day followed by blustery winds that settled down to a nice finish to the day.

Our playing partners today were Judy Ruitenberg and Marianne Lanham. We were their cheer squad as we battled through the long rough spending at least 20 to 30 minutes looking for lost balls. We did finish in 4 hours which was good. Judy was our champion of the day with Marianne scoring a lovely birdie on 15B sinking a long putt. Other highlights of the day were an Eagle (2/5) scored by Rhonda Robertson on 15A, Wal Robertson a birdie on 15B, Kay Baillie’s birthday celebration day, another owl spotted on the 10th tee. 

The Golf Event of the day was a Medley Single Stableford.

We had 46 starters with 3 visitors from Breakers and Shelly Beach.
