We had a good weather day to work on our projects today.
We had 14 volunteers which was a big help to get things done.
On hand we had Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O’Brien, Rob Benson, David Medcalf, Frank Potter, John Hollebon, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, Laurelle Freeman, Leeanne Binns, Carolyn Buttsworth, Lyn Bates and Jan Martin.
Projects worked on today were loose timber and rubbish clean up around the course, tree undercutting, moving the pot and statue from the grass garden at the 18th tee; mowing grass at the wood compound; hedge maintenance; filling in holes on the fairways; repairs to whipper snipper; emptying garden bins; tidy up of garden at the 13th tee; Transplanting cliveas and bromeliads from the 15th tee garden to the 14th bush toilets gardens and weeding there; tidy up of garden at the 3rd men’s tee; tidy up of garden at the 4th tee; tidying the 6th tranquility garden; tidy up of the ladies garden at the 2nd tee; watering gardens at the 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 14th. Poisoning weeds on the path at the practice net gardens and around the paths at the front of the clubhouse; tidy up of garden at the back of the 10th tee, repairs to the steps at the 15th tee; delivery of firewood.
We enjoyed morning tea of fresh sandwiches after a hard mornings work.
