We had a good number of volunteers today to help us with our projects - 15 in all which was fantastic.
On hand we had Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O’Brien, Peter Martin, Don Nicholls, John Hincksman, Rob Benson, David Medcalf, Ray Cheal, Frank Potter, John Hollebon, Lyn Bates, Leeanne Binns, Laurelle Freeman and Jan Martin.
Projects worked on today were loose timber and rubbish pick up around the course; hedge maintenance; raking up of Bunya Pine droppings at the 16th; clearing of drain at the front car park; cleaning up the gutter area at the back of the clubhouse; maintenance to the Ute; cleaning of the Bush Toilets at the 14th; removal of camphor Laurel trees at the 7th tee garden including removal of grass weeds; poisoning of grasses growing through the lavender garden at the 16th; deadheading agapanthus at the back of the 15th green including removal and poisoning of rogue trees growing in the garden ; tidy up of the 6th tranquility garden; tidy up of the BBQ Garden including removal and poisoning of rogue trees growing up inside the hedges at the front of the clubhouse; weeding of the garden at the Mens3rd tee; weeding and tidying gardens at the 2nd, 5th and 13th gardens; trimming of large shrub at the 1st tee that was encroaching on the advertising sign; new hose placed in the BBQ Garden to enable us to water there. - a huge day for us.
We enjoyed morning tea of fresh sandwiches which was appreciated after a hard mornings work.
