The Golf Events of the day were a Ladies Single Stroke + Ladies 9 Hole Single Stableford.

All carts were allowed on the course and I understand some good sunshine was there to help the course dry out.

We had 44 starters with 2 visitors from Shelly Beach and Royal Hobart.

Golf - Monday 20th July 2026

Ballina Golf Course - closed today after heavy rain affecting the course  - the Vets Week of Golf was cancelled due to the state of the course -  in particular the use of carts on the course.

The course looked good when we visited today - the fairways and greens looked good but we appreciate that carts can cause a lot of damage to a perfect course. 

We are at Ballina for a week and are finding that nearby courses also have the same problems. We are hoping to get a game in before we got to the week of Vets golf at Murwillumbah.

Meanwhile at Gosford….

The weather has improved. Club carts only were allowed on today but tomorrow all carts including Members carts will be allowed on for the Ladies Competition.

The Golf Event of the day was a Medley Single Stableford.

Golf Club Carts only were allowed on the course.

We had 21 starters with 3 visitors from NSW  and Everglades.

RESULTS:

WINNER: Adrian Deans - 35 points on a countback

Golf - Sunday 19th July 2026

 Hello from beautiful, wet and cold Ballina. As predicted the weather is not good and golf will be a non event tomorrow.

Meanwhile at Gosford the weather has improved….

No carts or trikes were allowed on the course.

We had 33 starters with 4 visitors from Coolamatong Snowy Mountains, Everglades and Links Shell Cove.
