Two Ute loads of rubbish removed from the Front Street Garden today ( 2 loads last week and another one required next week.

For a long weekend we had a good response from our volunteers today. It was the start of daylight savings which was a further challenge for our early risers.

On hand we had Sam Knox, Duncan Dyer, Ray Cheal, Frank Potter, Rick O’Shea, Laurelle Freeman, Carolyn Buttsworth and Jan Martin.

Projects worked on today were tree maintenance; Course maintenance; watering the gardens at the 2nd, 3rd and 5th; tidying up the garden at the Club Entrance including trimming back of Streletzias, climbing vine and loose timber. We removed two Ute loads of rubbish from this garden today with at least one load left for next week. Amongst the debris we found boxes of discarded clothes and shoes that somebody thought was appropriate to leave there.

Morning Tea of Donuts and biscuits was appreciated given the kitchen was closed for the long weekend.
