We were hoping for only light showers when we worked today - however we sustained constant heavy showers which were not comfortable to work in.
On hand we had Sam Knox, Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O’Brien, Rob Benson, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, Frank Potter, John Hollebon, Lyn Bates, Laurelle Freeman and Jan Martin.
Projects worked on today were loose timber and rubbish pick up around the course; Hedge maintenance; mowing and tidying the wood yard; planting in new succulent plants at the Practice Nets garden; part tidy up of the BBQ garden; watering the plants that are under cover at the BBQ garden; weeding and tidying up the Ladies Garden at the 2nd tee which we could under the protection of the big pine tree.
Eventually it got too wet to continue so we elected for an early morning tea. We enjoyed fresh sandwiches at morning tea - much appreciated.
The course will benefit from some nice slow rain.
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
