We almost got away with a rain free day but in the big picture it was really quite a good day with just a few nuisance showers along the way. We were fortunate to be able to play with preferred lies and carts were allowed on the course. After all the rain we have had over the last week the course is basically water logged & it is just amazing that we are on at all let alone with good playing conditions. There is a lot of casual water lying around and the course was boggy in parts - but hey! we are out there which was something that would not have happened in years gone by - in fact the course would have been closed for a week.
Our playing partners were Des & Yvonne Wilson and we had some good fun playing out for the keno ticket. The girls were 3 up at the half way mark. At the 16th the boys were 1 up & the boys followed up with a win on the 17th. The girls won the 18th but it was all too late to salvage the keno ticket. Our best highlight of the day was a gobbler birdie at the 8th by Yvonne.
The Event of the day was a 2 Ball Aggregate + Singles Mixed Men and Ladies.
We had 101 starters with 6 visitors from Muirfield, Terrigal and Wyong.
