We had restricted access to the course today because we had a vets tournament of 140 or so players in addition to the course being too wet for our maintenance vehicles. There were many tasks we could apply ourselves to & we managed to achieve quite a few projects this morning.
We had Geoff Bridge, Duncan Dyer, Peter Martin, Des Wilson, Warren Gray, Bruce White, Martin Gallagher, George Foster & Georgina Lamb fully occupied for the whole morning.
Geoff, Martin, Duncan, Bruce & Warren assisted in cleaning out & repacking the F-Troop storage containers & assisted in the clean up around the containers including trimming of overhanging & nuisance trees to clear the area. After morning tea they also assisted with the moving of lockers to allow for the pro shop renovations.
Peter & Des were fully occupied with the Pro Shop renovations. This morning the new front desk was installed which will eventually include a stove, oven & dishwasher. It will give the Pro Shop a whole new image & the staff a lot more room to manoeuvre.
Georgina & I started the day trimming a tree at the 18th & then moved back to the front entry where we re-potted the plants, giving them a trim and a good clean, fresh potting mix and fertilizer. We installed some nice decorative black pots to enhance the area. We gave the furniture & window sills a good wipe down & cleaned the front entry carpet which gave the entry area a fresh new look. We also tidied the gardens at the back of the 10th tee, the magnolia garden & trimmed some shrubs in the front garden.
Morning tea this morning was ham & cheese croissants fresh from the oven - Thanks John!
These were enhanced with some smiley face cupcakes with compliments from Jason Barton - Thanks Jason! They certainly made us smile! We F-Troopers love our morning tea!
Given our restricted working area today we managed to achieve some good things.
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
