We had a good day at F-Troop in spite of being down in numbers for various reasons.
The Troopers put in some heavy work renewing the paths on the 4th and the 14th, repair work to a broken pole at the putting green, rough cutting, picking up sticks and rubbish from around the course, raking of the front entrance area and around the 1st and 10th tees, weeding of the putting green garden, cleaning out the gutter around the putting green, trimming of the shrubs in the front entrance garden.
Those in attendance today were George Foster, Garry Trigg, Warren Gray, Bruce White, Des Wilson, Geoff Bridge, Arthur Verlander, Peter Martin and Jan Walker. Jan did some hard yards on the raking and cleaning of the front area and around the first and 10th tees. Thanks Troopers - you all did great work today in upgrading the appearance of our course.
I did notice through the week Leonie & Richard Casey working on their adopted garden - the front street garden which they keep in immaculate condition for us. Thank you Leonie and Richard!
We need some more volunteers as we get closer to the Pro Am on the 16th August so that the course can be looking in great condition. If you think you can spare some hours in the next few weeks especially closer to the 16th August then please let me know so that we can include you in our planning.
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
