We had a lot of happy golfers today because the weather fined up in time for our 8.00am shotgun start. The worst we got was a bit of gusty winds at times but it was a big improvement from the forecast weather. We had about an inch of rain last night which was very heavy at times but the course was not badly affected apart from the odd puddle and some wet bunkers.
My playing partners today were Lorraine Bignall, Rosalie Dyer and Yvonne Wilson & we had a great day leading up to the Melbourne Cup Race. The 3 pointers were a bit elusive but we did have some good highlights in a Team Stableford Event with two scores to count.

After golf we all enjoyed lunch with champagne & Orange juice, a fashion parade showing clothes from SANDLEWOOD FASHIONS (95 Victoria Street, East Gosford) with clothing modeled by our lady golfers Kay Frewin, Lorraine Linnert, Debbie Grinham. Michele Kennett, Robyn Johnston & Fay Bailey.
We watched the Melbourne Cup Race on the big screen in the comfort & privacy of the Magnolia Room. A lot of our ladies dressed up for the occasion with hats, fascinators & the good gear.
In all we had a lovely day with good company & some good celebrations. Birthday cake & candles were on hand to recognise birthdays of Norma Cubis, Wendy Stapleton, Rae Brown & Di Thomlinson who are all celebrating their birthdays this week.
