We had a great day for golf today with blue skies and sunshine & a nice breeze to keep us cool.

My playing partners were Tania Burt & Michele Kennett & we had a lovely day bringing in Michele as a winner on the day.

The Event of the day was a Ladies Single Stableford and we had 78 starters.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Michele Kennett had 4 pointers at the 17th & the 8th and won nearest the pin at the 8th; Tania Burt putted in a beautiful gobbler shot at the 17th at least 30 foot & into the hole; my highlight was a nice par at the 14th & I was hoping to win the raffle to make my day but that did not happen. I did not have enough time to gather more highlights today as we had a later hit off time which bought us home towards the end of the field.

What really did make my day today was a donation from Sue Hutton who has offered to buy us a new standard white iceberg rose for the putting green to replace the one that was destroyed by vandals last week. THANKS SUE! As you are all aware we rely heavily on donations for our gardens & we very much appreciate the support we get from our Members.
