Golf - Tuesday 11th May 2010 - Ladies Open Day

We had the most wonderful weather for our Ladies Open Day which made us all very happy as we had 51 visitors from other clubs to enjoy our course.

My playing partners today were Kay Adams, Yvonne Bean & Kath Smith & we enjoyed the sunshine, the course and the good company - pity about the golf although we did get some good shots happening at times.

The Event of the day was a Team Stableford 2 Scores to count.

We had 144 starters with 51 visitors from Beresfield, Belmont, Branxton, Everglades, Muswellbrook, Terrigal, Tuggerah Lakes and Wyong.

RESULTS:

TEAM RUNNERS UP NETT: Zena Powell (Branxton), Jan Scobie (Branxton), Di Atton (Branxton) and Sue Devlin (Branxton) - 93 points

TEAM 3RD NETT: Linda Rankin, Rosalie Dyer, Kath Payn & Judy Hocking (Everglades) - 90 points.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: The best highlight of the day came from Lesley Gregory who scored a great Eagle 3/5 at the 11th with a fantastic approach shot straight into the hole; the second best was from Pam Cowin who almost got a hole in one at the 14th with a great drive, scoring a birdie 2/4 and 3/4 on the 12th; Sheena Asken had a birdie at the 11th; Michelle Martin Birdied the 9th and the 11th; Lorraine Linnert contributed some great putting; Shirley Daly had a 4 pointer at the 12th; Silvia Lee had two 3 pointers; Cheryl Baker from Terrigal had a gobbler at the 9th; Sandy Hopkins from Terrigal had birdies at the 6th and the 15th; Margaret Pratt had a beautiful long putt into the hole on the 9th; Margaret Nichols had a gobbler, Georgina Lamb had a nice 4/4; Genny Rutledge had 4/4 at the 15th; Barbara Wilson from Wyong had a nice 4 pointer; Joyce Bosely had two pars at the 5th and the 15th; Nerida Hancock had 3/4 at the 14th; Sharon Anderson had a gobbler on the 1st for a par.
