Golf - Saturday 15th May 2010

We have had a huge day at the Golf Club today having two large weddings - a wedding celebration for 90 guests in the Wedding Garden, followed by the reception in the Magnolia Room as well as a wedding reception for 210 guests in the major part of the club including the Sunset Room. This together with catering for 199 golfers has made for one very busy day at the club. Fortunately it was a beautiful day weather wise for both the weddings and golf.

The staff must be congratulated for managing such a huge workload. The set up alone of both the weddings looked beautiful both in the wedding garden and the reception rooms. This took a lot of effort & should be appreciated by all Members. Thank you staffers - you do a great job.

A big thank you to all the Members who co-operated by using the Links Room for their after golf drinks and nibbles. These double large weddings do not happen with any regularity & the revenue earned by the club on these occasions makes it worthwhile to the club coffers.

The Golfing Event of the day was a Men's Single Stableford - 3 grades.

We had 199 starters with 5 visitors from PGA, Trundle, Woollahra & Wyong.
