One of the reasons that our numbers were down at Gosford today was that there were many of our Lady Golfers supporting Wyong Golf Club Open Day which directs all the profits from the day to Breast Cancer Research which is one of our favourite charities to support.
My playing partners at Wyong today were Shirley Daly, Lola Martin & Deanna Bailey. We had a good day once we defrosted after the first two holes when it became a beautiful sunny day. Our team missed out on a ball on a countback, but we had a good fun day. My highlight being a par on the hardest hole. Gosford players that I saw supporting today were Shirley Daly, Ros Singleton, Margaret Davidson, Doris Morris, Wendy Stapleton, Fay Bailey, Lesley Gregory, Norma Cubis, Lyn Cruickshanks, Julie Hazzard, Helen Broadbent and June Bowen. Because the day was broken into two shotgun starts & people were scattered it was difficult to identify all our members. There were 80 starters from many clubs around the coast and the Sydney area in the morning 7.00 am hit off and I am not sure how many attended the afternoon.
Wyong Club are rejuvenating the ladies locker room with some new amenities with lavender being the primary colour. I was impressed with the look of the lockers.
