The day started out with light showers - fortunately not enough to spoil our day. My playing partners were Alice Collett, Merran Adams and Marnie LÁnsen (Terrigal). We had a very enjoyable day - lovely company and pity about the golf.
The Golf Event of the day was the Gosford Bowl & bronze Salver Day - Ladies Stroke Match.
We had 79 starters with 17 visitors from Terrigal, Shelly Beach, Howlong, .

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Marnie LÁnsen had a nice par on the 6th; Merran Adams had two pars and was on the card for nearest the pin on the 14th; Alice Collett sank a beautiful putt on the 9th; Lorraine Bignall played a good front 9 and putted well; Delia Shipley (Howlong) Enjoyed her day; Cheryl Davison had two gobblers; Sandy Laybutt lost her umbrella on the 13th which finished up in the water and had to fished out by her playing partners; Leonie Casey had a birdie on the 14th and parred the 5th; Sharon Anderson was a consistent player; Leanne Moore (Shelly Beach) had a lovely day with great company; Pam Witt played steady golf; Roz Evatt (Shelly Beach) did some good putting; Sue Galton (Shelly Beach) had two gobblers - one a birdie; Chris Shaw had good company; Marianne Lanham had a birdie gobbler at the 10th; Di Thomlinson had a birdie on the 16th; Sandra Coyle had a birdie on the 18th; Glennis English played steady golf; Sally Hopkins had a birdie on the 8th; Helen Potter had a birdie on the 6th; Judy Verlander has got on the blog at last - being the winner of the Bronze Salver and she parred the 8th and 9th; Lyn Cruickshanks had pars on the 16th, 12th and the 6th; Jan Hoban (Terrigal)had an enjoyable day; Anne Forrester had a par on the 15th; Nell Spargo (Terrigal) had a great drive on the 8th; Vivienne Twelftree had a par; Ronda Jordon enjoyed good company; Maria McGann had a good drive on the 12th; Kay Baillie had a birdie on the first hole; after all these highlights mine have slipped into insignificance so I will just say I enjoyed the company and I did finish with the same ball I started with.
