Deep and meaningful description of
golf rules on the 3rd tee of Gosford Golf Club
written on the paper table cloth of the Gosford Hotel
after Golf and "some"wines and beers after golf.

We had quiet a cold day for golf today with a chilly wind and some light showers to keep the temperature down.  The course was still playing well with some good scores coming in.
Our playing partners today were Wally & Rhonda Robertson and we did have some good highlights throughout the day the best of which was Wally's gobbler putt in on the 16th for 5/3 which made our day.

The golf event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Women + 2BBB Team.

WE had 78 starters with 8 visitors from Kogorah, Kooindah, Qantas, Riverside, Terrigal, Shelly Beach.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Wally Robertson had a gobbler on the 16th for a 3 pointer; Rhonda Robertson had a brilliant sandy out of the 18th bunker close to the hole which she followed up with a one putt to put the boys out of Keno ticket contention; Ray Buttsworth sank a 30 metre putt on the 17th for a very important point; Peter Martin did some good driving; Carolyn Buttsworth had 45 points which included a 1 pointer at the 18th and turning with 24 points; Leonie Kelly lipped out on the 1st (for 3/6)  to score 4/5; Brett Margin had birdies on the 2nd and the 14th and had a nice 35 points; Kay Bailey had an all round okay day with 39 points; Garry Bailey had 37 points; Christine Drakeford spent a lot of time in the beach areas; Anne Forrester had 4 pointers at the 3rd and the 17th;  Tania Walklate had bird assistance at the 7th hole with her putt falling into one of the chewed out holes on the side of the hole and she also scored 6 x 3 pointers; Kay Frewin was happy that she hit the ball at one of the tees so well that she snapped the tee and also held out all day with the lipstick for the boys who were to have scored the birdies(sadly nil); Joyce Bosley was stoked about scoring more than 30 points; Bert Brink almost scored a par; Helen Smith scored 37 points and carried Gary all the way; George Foster had a birdie on the 1st and six pars; Vicki Foster's highlight was ( not) losing the Keno Ticket to the boys; Anne Burke's highlight was playing with Alisha Hams who was a delight to play with; Kevin O'Brien birdied the 10th; my highlight was sinking a long putt for a 4 pointer on the 3rd and enjoying the company of Rhonda and Wally Robertson. I do not want to discuss the par 3's.
