We were very lucky today to have escaped the predicted rain, hail and high winds that were predicted. Our playing partners were Col & Lauren Matterson who were good company and played well. Our best highlight of the day was Col's birdie on the 1st which I missed because I was scrambling out of the bunker or something.

The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies - Second Round of the Team Series.

We had 82 starters.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Duncan brown had 38 points and had birdies on the 2nd, 10th and 18th, Robin Incoll had a birdie 2/4 on the 8th sinking a 10 metre uphill putt; Vivienne Twelftree had 37 points and had 2/4 at the 14th; Lynn Puiatti had pars at the 14/15/16 and was on the 16th for 2; Glennis English had a great round scoring 20/21; Leonie Kelly had 5/5 at the 18th; Clyde Cruickshanks had a nice 35 points and scored a birdie on the 18th; George Foster beat the girls for the keno and finished with the same ball he started with; Vicki Foster had 3/3 at the 14th; Georgina Lamb had 4/4 at the 15th and 5/4 at the 18th; Col Matterson had a birdie at the 1st and some very good pars; Lauren Matterson scored a nice 5/2 at the 15th after putting her second shot in the water; Peter Martin had pars at the 14th/15th and 16th even though he was dying of the man flu; Bob Thomas had his playing partners spending a lot of time looking for his balls; Duncan Dyer had 4 pars on the back nine; Lorraine Bignall had 16 out and 25 home scoring 2/4 on the 12th and five 3 pointers in a row; Fran James had 22 points at the turn including a birdie on the 11th and 6 x 3 pointers; Kevin O'Brien had a chip in birdie at the 4th; Nigel Asken had a birdie on the 13th; Leonie Casey played the 8th hole well getting her name on the NTP Card; Garry Baillie had a 4 pointer on the 10th; Jemison Fitzgerald birdies the 13th; my highlights were being out on the Village Green in the sunshine and no rain, I can't say I finished with same ball I started with (or even the second-after two balls into the 3rd dam), Just as well we had a lovely day and pity about the golf. I do have one small brag - I did get out of the right 8th bunker in one where my ball was sitting on the upslope close to the right side of the bunker 😃
