I think I can safely say that it was every golfer's highlight today that we got through the day and safely home before the cyclonic rainstorm hit the coast. It is pouring rain as I write this report so we were indeed very fortunate that the bad weather held off during the daylight hours.
My playing partner for the President's side was Mary Beard and our opposition for the Captain's Side was Lynn Puiatti and Helen Darkes. The Captain's side won the day but we had a very pleasant day after we defrosted a bit when the day warmed up a little. Mary & I were good players out of luck for a lot of the game but we did come good with two successive pars which made our day and Helen won nearest the pin on the 14th which was a good highlight.
The Golf Event of the day was Ladies President Vs Captains Day "Pinehurst".
We had 67 starters with one visitor from USA.
