We had a beautiful winter's day for golf today - chilly in the morning & late afternoon but beautiful in the middle of the day. The course has dried up and is playing well as the scores indicate.
Our playing partners were Duncan & Rosalie Dyer and we had a great day on the village green. We had many highlights throughout the day with the best being Peter's drive to the 12th which won him the nearest the pin (31cms) and won the Eagles Nest.

OTHER HIGHLIGHTS:
Geoff & Helen Darkes have been granted a permanent residence visa. Congratulations and welcome Geoff & Helen!
Michael & Pauline Norman wish to thank everyone for their support and good wishes following the tragic house fire they suffered recently where they lost just about everything that they owned. Their home was destroyed by fire in five minutes which left them very little time to save anything. Fortunately they were uninjured.
A warning from Michael & Pauline to anyone who leave their golf buggy batteries plugged into power at home (or anywhere for that matter). Michael & Pauline's battery had been fully charged and left on the power. The battery had somehow been tipped over so that the wires tangled and triggered the fire that destroyed their home in a matter of minutes. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS DANGER!
