Today is our last full day in Perth - yet another lovely sunny day. We decided to have an R & R day having a lazy day of fish & chips/wine/biscuits and cheese luncheon at Kings Park, Perth WA. We had difficulty finding a fish & chip shop in Perth City & through sheer determination we went as far as Mount Lawley to find a seafood market who could give us a nice take away of fish & chips. We had our purchases of wine from the Margaret River region to use up before we left, so a nice casual lunch in the park seemed a good solution on such a lovely day. The Kings Park was alive with locals & tourists enjoying the beautiful grounds as well as a couple of weddings.
I really enjoyed the botanical gardens which labelled all of the Western Australian plants through the most beautifully kept parklands. It took us two hours to track down our fish & chips but it was worth the effort as we had a very enjoyable relaxed day.
Tonight we are going to the local Irish Pub to watch the Swans Vs Western Bulldogs which should be fun.
In the meantime I have attached a photo of Des & Yvonne' Wilson's gorgeous grandson who is now 15 days old.
