We had a really good day on our train trip through the Nullarbor to Cook in South Australia & the on to Adelaide overnight. Photo attached of Mark & Peter socialising with Roy Masters (of rugby League fame) who was travelling with his wife Elaine as far as Adelaide.
10 of our F-Troopers put in a good days work on the course. We had Duncan Dyer, Bruce White, Des Wilson, Geoff Bridge, Fred Middleton, Martin Gallagher, Georgina Lamb, Anne Burgess, Richard Casey & Leonie Casey volunteering some valuable hours.
Richard & Leonie took care of their adopted gardens along Racecourse Road.
Georgina & Anne Cleaned up at the 1st tee, around the clubhouse & putting green and raked 9 of the tees.
The boys collectively cleaned up the scrub area along Narara Creek on the 6th fairway which looks 100% with all the rubbish cleaned up.
Peter & I will be back on deck next Monday & the next big project we will be doing is the stump removals. F-Troop are looking for some extra volunteers to help with filling the holes after the stumps are removed. A few hours of your time either in the morning or afternoon of next week would really be appreciated - especially anyone with some available time next Tuesday afternoon.
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
