Our F-Troopers are so dedicated that they were prepared to work through the rain this morning as we are under pressure to get jobs done in the gardens.
Much appreciation to Geoff Bridge, Martin Gallagher, Bruce White, Warren Gray and Kerry Cubis all of whom put in some hard yards out in the rain. We needed to install the support poles for the new picket fence being erected at the 18th tee to replace the temporary green cloth fence that was put in place to keep out the rabbits from the garden plants. In addition to this I needed a couple of trailer loads of garden soil for the new garden at the 1st and there was plenty of rubbish to be picked up around the course. All these jobs were done by our F-Troopers in good time.
Wayne Tomkinson delivered 100 new healthy pansy plants that he has donated to us to enhance our gardens. Much appreciation to Wayne for his generous donation as these plants will add much needed interest to our gardens at the path to the 1st and 10th tees. All of these plants were put in place & the wedding garden area tidied up.
The Pro shop renovations are ongoing, supervised by Des Wilson & much progress was made there today. The tiling is just about finished, the buggy rooms are finished, the front desk changeover is all set to go ahead - so it is all go in the Pro Shop.
Morning tea was some delicious ham & cheese croissants warm from the oven - Thanks Chef John!. We had all worked hard in the rain so morning tea was very much looked forward to & appreciated.
Considering it was such an unsettled day and we were working with a skeleton crew we achieved quite a lot of work in a short amount of time.
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
