We had 14 volunteers this morning which was great. The cooler weather was welcomed. The wild winds had brought down a lot of branches and loose timber around the course.
On hand we had Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O’Brien, Rob Benson, Frank Potter, David Medcalf, John Hollebon, Peter Martin, Carolyn Buttsworth, Laurelle Freeman, Bev Way, Leeanne Binns, Lyn Bates and Jan Martin.
Projects worked on today were Tree Maintenance; Firewood preparation; Loose Timber and rubbish pick up around the course; hedge maintenance; pick up of garden weeds; blowing the front car park and pick up of rubbish there; clean up and watering of the Ladies Garden at the 2nd Tee; whipper Snipping, rubbish removal, planting in of frangipanis at the back of the practice nets garden; mulching of the 18th garden; tidy up of the BBQ garden; tidy up of the gardens at the back of the 10th tee; tidy up of Chipping green garden including weeding of gardens and a start made on the trimming of the camellia hedge; filling in pot holes and pitch marks on the fairways.
We appreciated the cooler weather and our morning tea of fresh sandwiches.
