It is a bit chilly at 7.00am but we still had a good turn up of volunteers to continue our F-Troop projects.
We had eleven hardy volunteers on hand and were able to achieve some good work.
On hand were Trevor Harrison, Duncan Dyer, Rob Benson, Garry Trigg, Warren Gray, Geoff Bridge, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, Anne Burgess, Di Beechey & Jan Martin.
The Tree gang of Duncan Dyer, Geoff Bridge, Trevor Harrison & Garry Trigg removed a dangerous pine branch at the back of the Wedding Garden and did some undercutting of the trees around the course.
Rob Benson & Warren Gray were on pick up duty and removed a lot of rubbish and loose timber from around the course.
Peter Martin & Don Nicholls repaired the door at the bush toilets, securing the door and replacing the lock.
Anne Burgess and Di Beechey cleaned up around the clubhouse, then helped me to plant in a new yellow hedge at the 14th and remove the gravel walk through path and replace it with more garden plants. Anne also worked on Camellia Way at the 18th and did some watering.
These plants were donated by Brian & Lesley Gregory and Michael from Savana Lawns and gardens as well as culling from some of our other gardens. Thank you to our supporters who allow us to create new spaces for zero cost to the club.
I cleaned up at the Bush Toilet area, worked at the garden at the 14th, trimmed the hedges at the gardens at the 1st and 10th, cleaned up the water feature, watered the red hedge at he 10th and the potted plants.
Morning tea of fresh cakes were very welcome this morning - Thank you Chef Brad!
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
