The Event of the day was a Ladies Single Par - Over the Field Summer Competition and we had 22 starters.

Today F-Troop put together a "Rock Orchid" garden at the starter's box garden. Some of the orchids were from Jan Martin's garden and the rest were transplanted from the garden behind the Men's 10th tee where they had been overgrown with other plants and were out of sight.
Another three rock orchids have been planted on the rock wall in front of the Men's 10th tee where hopefully they will settle and survive the summer months. We have now completed the "Orchid Garden" at the Starter's Box which is made up of three different types of orchids all of which will flower at different times and give us much viewing pleasure.
