The Event of the day was a Ladies Single Stableford.

We had 78 starters with visitors from Terrigal and Tuggerah Lakes.

My playing partners today were Rosalie Dyer and Kath Payn & we had some good highlights along the way with Kath getting a couple of good 3 pointers (after not playing for some 18 months) and Rosalie having 4/4 on the 9th and a great drive on the 14th to win the nearest the pin.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Jan Fitzgerald had a gobbler at the 1st for a par; Lyn Cruickshanks had a gobbler at the 18th and had the distinction of hitting the flagpole twice on both the 16th and the 18th; Lynn Puiatti had a gobbler; Helen Potter had a birdie; Fran James had 5/4 on the 17th; Kath Small had a gobbler on the 9th; Jan Walker had 5/3 on the 9th and 4/4 on the 16th; Marianne Lanham had a birdie on the 8th; Lea Southon had 4/4 on the 14th; my highlight was a nice 9 iron shot to close to the pin on the 7th and my drive on the 9th - after negotiating its way through the right hand tree on the 9th ended up somehow in the middle of the fairway equal in distance to both the good drives from Rosalie & Kath ( in theory my ball should have finished at the bottom of the tree) which gave them cause to give me a hard time down the rest of the fairway (Rosalie got a 4/4 on the hole so all was forgiven).
