The temperature was much better for golf today with a nice breeze to help out. My playing partners were Wendy Stapleton & Glennis English & we had a fun day with mixed fortunes.
After three days of golf in a row for many of us (in very hot weather) it was a little testing and we were all happy to be back in the airconditioned comfort of the 19th hole after we had scrambled through the 18 holes.
The Event of the day was a Ladies Single Stableford and we had 66 players with visitors from Terrigal.

It was reported to me that Alice Collett hit her drive at the 18th to in front of the left hand tree near the drain. After several air swings Alice hit the ball into the tree & it rebounded back towards her. Alice then had another air swing, then eventually connected with the ball placing it over near the dam edge. Her playing partners kindly assured her that there were no trees over there!!!!!!!!!. Alice then proceeded to shank her next shot left into the trees on the other side.
Never mind Alice! We have one warm comforting thought - There is always next week...........!
