We had an action packed day at F-Troop today - working around the arborists who came to cut down trees along Racecourse Road near the Practice Putting Green and removed large branches around the course that had fallen down in the recent high winds.

On hand we had Sam Knox, Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O’Brien, John Hollebon, Ray Cheal, Rob Benson, David Medcalf, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, Laurelle Freeman, Carolyn Buttsworth, Lyn Bates and Jan Martin.

Projects worked on today were loose timber and rubbish pick up around the course (and there was plenty of it due to the high winds); assisting the arborists wth the tree removals - some more firewood for us; rubbish picked up from the garden weeding and hedging; firewood delivery; trimming the overgrown climbing vine at the Men’s 10th tee; tidy up of garden at the 8th tee; tidy up and watering garden at the Ladies 2nd tee; weeding and trimming the 10th tee gardens; removal of crab grass at the 2nd pathway; tidy up of gardens at the practice chipping green; poisoning weeds at the practice nets garden paths; weeding practice net gardens.

We enjoyed morning tea of fresh sandwiches while we watched the window cleaners working on the clubhouse. I was remiss in not taking a photo of our team at morning tea.Apologies to all.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
