We had 12 volunteers today to help with our projects. The course was busy with Vets Golfers so we needed to work our way around them.
On hand we had Sam Knox, Duncan Dyer, Kevin O’Brien, Trevor Harrison, John Hollebon, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, Bev Way, Laurelle Freeman, Carolyn Buttsworth, Lyn Bates and Jan Martin.
Projects worked on today were assistance to the tree loppers at the 1st tee by Sam Knox and Duncan Dyer; loose timber and rubbish pick up around the course, Firewood preparation; mowing around the 18th tee, Camellia Way and behind the practice nets; hedge maintenance at the 18th green; removal of plants from the 18th fence garden to the 12th green garden and watering in, watering of the garden at the 2nd tee, spreading mulch on the 4th tee garden; cleaning of the 14th bush toilets; removing strangle weed from the banksia shrub at the 6th fairway, watering gardens at the 14th bush toilets, tidy up of the tranquility garden at the 6th tee; removal of spent flowers on the 2nd green garden.
We appreciated morning tea of fresh sandwiches after a hard mornings work.
