11th tee where the council will run an access road towards the 15th green. The bin, seat and sand buckets were moved by F-Trooper John Hollebon to allow the wider road to come through.

Our lavender garden at the 16th tee weeded and tidied up as it is coming into flower

We had 16 volunteers today at F-Troop which was an excellent response for an early cold morning. We welcomed Bev Way back to the fold and also welcomed John Hinksman who has joined F-Troop today.

On hand we had Sam Knox, Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O’Brien, John Hinksman, Rob Benson, David Medcalf, John Hollebon, Frank Potter, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, Bev Way, Laurelle Freeman, Lyn Bates, Carolyn Buttsworth, Jan Martin.

It was the first day of spring and it resulted in a perfect spring day.

The course was full of Vets players so we worked our way around the players.

Projects worked on were pick up of loose timber and rubbish around the course;  transfer of firewood from the wood yard to the new compound; repair of the yellow garden cart; blowing of the front car park; clean up of leaves and rubbish behind the clubhouse; tidy up of garden at the ladies 2nd tee; tidy up of gardens at the 3rd ladies tee; tidy up of the 8th garden; tidy up of the lavender gardens at the 16th tee; cleaning of the bush toilets including weeding and pick up of rubbish around the gardens;  moving the bin, seat and sand buckets holder at the 11th tee to allow room for the next access road.

It was a good effort by all of our troopers and we all enjoyed morning tea of fresh sandwiches in the sunshine after a hard mornings work.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
