We had a super hot day to work in today which was heating up rapidly by morning tea. The wind picked up in the later morning and blew all the leaves back where we had just cleaned up.
We had 12 volunteers this morning which was very helpful in getting our projects done.
On hand was Sam Knox, Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O’Brien, Rob Benson, Greg Scifleet, Peter Martin, Steve Robinson, John Hollebon, Ron Gowing, Jan Martin and Bev Way.
Projects worked on today was a clean up of the gutter behind the clubhouse, clean up of the car parks, clean up underneath the clubhouse, paths to the 1st and 10th tees, putting green and practice nets, loose timber and rubbish pick up around the course, hedge maintenance, maintenance to the yellow garden cart, tidy up of the gardens at the 18th including weed control on the paths, tidy up of the paths at the 14th bush toilets, weeding of gardens at the 14th bush toilets, tidy up of the 6th tranquility garden, maintenance to the 3rd Ladies Tee Garden including removal of large agave plants and large aloe Vera plants that were taking over the paths.
We were happy to find a shady spot in the beer garden to enjoy our morning tea.
