Gosford Golfers at Hawks Nest
Ready for a week of golf at beautiful Hawks Nest
A new way of dealing with the maintenance of bunkers
Being introduced at Hawks Nest - these bunkers have been drained underneath a layer of concreted heavy metal which will be laid with artificial grass and then covered with a very fine sand. Two bunkers have been completed with more to come in an attempt to make bunker maintenance free and less damage after heavy rain. - an interesting concept.
Hello from beautiful Hawks Nest.
We had a lovely day today playing in an Ambrose to get us started into the week of golf.
Our special mentions are Steve and Geraldine Turner who played with Rick and Christine O’Shea who came in 3rd place to give Gosford a mention. I understand the girls were the strength of the day.
Meanwhile at Gosford......
The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Women + 2BBB Team.
We had 73 starters with 8 visitors from Kooindah Waters, Everglades, Wyong and Nelson Bay.
