This week we were lucky to have the rain hold off until after our projects were completed.
Today we had fourteen volunteers to share the load. On hand were Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Geoff Bridge, Kevin O'Brien, John Hollebon, Terry Coyle, Steve Hogg, Peter Martin, Don Nicholls, Garry Trigg, Mark Stimpson, Nigel Asken, Di Beechey, Jan Martin.
Projects worked on today were tree maintenance on the 6th and between the 10th and the 11th; pickup of loose timber and rubbish off the course; cleaning out more weed from the 3rd dam; splitting of more timber for our firewood sales; construction of a garden wall at the 1st tee; dead heading of streletzia plants; planting in a donated Bottle Brush at the 18th; cleaning of the bush toilets; tidying the gardens in the green space at the 14th; watering and fertilising gardens at the 14th green Space, 6th tranquility garden, bike garden, 9th ladies tee garden, all of the mandevilleas at the 1st and 10th, pots in the wedding gazebo; tidied the ladies 3rd tee; more trimming of the tibouchina shrubs the 10th tee; trimming of shrubs at the 1st tee; maintaining of hedges around the course.
We managed to finish our work before the rain set in and enjoyed morning tea of savoury breads, iced buns and donuts. Thank you Barto for your continued support of F-Troop.
