Front Street Lawn Area outside the Puttting Green mowed and tidied up - an improved first impressions of the Club.
We had a very productive day at F-Troop today with twelve volunteers to share the load.
We had on hand Trevor Harrison, Duncan Dyer, Geoff Bridge, Rob Benson, Warren Gray, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, Garry Trigg, Di Beechey, Anne Burgess, Carolyn Buttsworth and Jan Martin.
There were a lot of social players on the course today which is good for the Club. We were able to work on our projects and make some headway.
The Tree Gang of Duncan Dyer, Geoff Bridge, Trevor Harrison and Garry Trigg worked on their tree maintenance program including the removal of a large branch that came down on the 1st fairway.
Rob Benson and Warren Gray did a great job of cleaning up loose timber and rubbish from the course.
Peter Martin and Don Nicholls did a much needed job of mowing the nature strip outside the Putting Green and started on the repair of the White fence along the 18th as well as a temporary repair of the leaking tap at the 14th bush toilets which needs a new tap.
Di Beechey and Carolyn Buttsworth cleaned up the car park and underneath the Clubhouse, watered the gardens at the front of the club and the Wedding Garden, removed the potted plants that were struggling on the Club Balcony, with the help of Rob Benson erected a rabbit proof fence around the garden at the 17th green, planted out numerous succulent plants donated by Ron Gowing.
Anne Burgess cleaned up and watered the gardens at the BBQ area and at Camellia Way as well as helping with garden at the 17th green.
I worked at the 14th Bush Toilets, cleaning up, planting in some Bromeliads donated by Ron Gowing, watering and weeding the gardens at the Green Space, the Orange
Trumpet Vines at the 14th Tee; cleaned up at the 6th Tee, cleaned up at the Ladies 3rd Tee, sprayed the Azalia Plants and Roses at the putting green and the Azalea plants in front of the Clubhouse; weeded and raked at the Putting Green Garden.
Morning Tea of iced cake was very much appreciated after a hard mornings work. Thank you Chef Alice!
