The Golf Event of the day was the 2014 Mixed Foursomes Championships (better known as the Fearsomes Championships)
Our playing partners today were Neville Walker, Jan Walker, Adam Crocker and Gail Kellett and they were great company on the Village Green. The weather was good and the course was playing well allowing us to play the ball as it lies. We did have a good day even if the highlights were hard to find at times which is not unusual in foursomes events,

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Peter Davidson and Robin Brann played together for the first time in the Mixed Foursomes with great results; Helen Potter and Andrew Potter played together with fantastic results - obviously the motherly advice worked; Keith Potter played with his de facto player Chris Shaw and enjoyed the day; Steven Cross gave his wife Annette an opportunity to hit off the Men's 8th Tee; Kevin O'Brien and Lorraine Bignall had a birdie on the 14th; Negel Asken allowed Marianne Lanham to be a chip wizard today also giving Marianne the opportunity to hit off the second Men's Tee from down in the ditch after Nigel's drive rebounded backwards from a tree; Col and Laren Matterson birdied the 10th; John Homer and Lyn Bates had birdies at the 10th, 14th and 15th; Lauren Matterson got out of every bunker that Col put her in; Fay Bailey had fun in the sun;
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF OUR WINNERS!
