The weather cleared beautifully for us today after a dire forecast of heavy rain on the radar. We only had a small crew but got an enormous amount of work done.
We had Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Rob Benson, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, Warren Gray, Geoff Bridge and Jan Martin making eight starters on a very overcast day which turned out fine and sunny.
Duncan, Trevor, Rob, Don, Warren & Geoff had the daunting task of completing the clean up along the school fence line. They removed seven trailer loads of rubbish which has substantially improved that area.
Peter was on rubbish pick up around the course and then with Don's help completed the mulching job on the Front Street Garden.
I worked around the course - cleaning up at the 14th Bush Toilets, 3rd Ladies Tee, garden at the 2nd tee, garden at the back of the clubhouse, spread mulch on the Front Street Garden, cleaned up at the Front Entrance Garden.
We appreciated morning tea of tasty muffins - Thank you Chef Brad!
After morning tea Peter did some inside maintenance at the Clubhouse and I raked up the gutter at the back of the clubhouse, tidied up the Wedding Gazebo, watered the gardens at the 1st and 10th tees.
We completed two major projects today being the clearing of the school fence and finishing the Front Street Garden. Both were huge jobs that have taken up a lot of our time.
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
My thanks to Christine Drakeford for the photo from Ladies Pennants today. at this stage I do not have any results of the matches.
