Golf - Sunday 25th May 2014

We had another magic day for golf today - the month of May has been mostly perfect everyday so I hope everyone has been taking advantage of the great conditions on Gosford Golf Course.

Our playing partners today were Ron & Lynn Puiatti and we had a very enjoyable day on the village green.  We had three birdies, one each from Ron, Peter and Lynn and including all of us on the 14th green for one which were good highlights.  Peter also won nearest the pin at the 12th and for the boys the highlight was beating the girls for the keno ticket.

The Golf Event of the day was a Medley Team Stableford 1 X 2 X 3 + Single Stableford for Men and Ladies.

We had 81 starters with 5 visitors from Howlong, Shelly Beach & Toukley.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: The Asken + Dyer Team - the boys smashed the girls - not!!!!; Col Adams played steady gold for his 41 points; Kay Adams had five 3 pointers in a row; Helen Broadbent had a birdie at the 14th; Pauline Norman had a good putt on the 5th for a par; Georgina Lamb and her harem had a nice day with Grahame Muller playing well; Carolyn Buttsworth had 4 pointers at the 3rd and the 14th; Garry Baillie had a 4 pointer at the 14th; Col Matterson had a birdie on the 12th; Ron Puiatt had a birdie on the 3rd; Lynn Puiatti had a birdie on the 6th; Peter Martin had a birdie on the 12th and won nearest the pin; the groups of Foster+Matterson, Dyer + Asken, Puiatti + Martin were all were on the 14th green for one; Warren Gray played nice steady golf for his 42 points.
