We had a very busy day at F-Troop this morning. All it takes is a couple of days of strong wind and there is loose timber down everywhere. The course was busy today with social players and Ladies Pennants matches.
We had 10 volunteers today which was a big help with the clean up. We had Duncan Dyer, Geoff Bridge, Trevor Harrison, Don Nicholls, Warren Gray, Rob Benson, Peter Martin, Di Beechey, Anne Burgess and Jan Martin.
Our tree gang of Duncan Dyer, Geoff Bridge and Trevor Harrison took care of removing a large dead tree on the left hand side of the 13th fairway.
Rob Benson & Warren Gray had the daunting task of rubbish pick up around the course.
Our resident Plumber Don Nicholls and Peter Martin did some maintenance to the plumbing at the 14th Bush Toilets. Peter & Don also did some work patching holes in the wall in the clubhouse.
Di Beechey cleaned up the front carpark, 1st and 10th tees and them moved around the course cleaning up the tees and fairways as required.
Anne Burgess cleaned up around the clubhouse area, wedding garden and putting green.
I cleaned up at the 14th bush toilet area, tidied the gardens at the 6th, 13th & 16th. picked up loose timber along the 15th, 16th and 17th fairways and the 18th men's tee.
Morning tea of slices was much appreciated on such a cool day. Thanks Chef Brad! We all worked hard today to get our projects done so morning tea is looked forward to by all.
After morning tea the boys did some maintenance work to a door in the downstairs associated room, Peter Martin mowed the grass at the front street and I removed the last of the grasses from the front street garden, raked up the cigarette butts under the clubhouse and gathered some strelItzia flowers for tomorrows Ladies Open Day Presentation.
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
