We had a lovely day to celebrate St Patrick's Day. My playing partners were Rae Brown, Rosalie Dyer and Kath Payn. Kath was our star and won her division with a nice 37 points.
The Golf Event of the day was a Ladies Single Stableford + 2 Ball Irish Multiplier - St Patrick's Day.
We had 80 starters with 2 visitors - Anne Kendall from Everglades and Maire Devaney from Ireland.

NO HANDICAPPING TODAY - being St Patrick's Day we were allowed to have two free kicks at the ball and use a metre of string to get ourself out of trouble today.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Kath Payn had two 4 points in a row at the 3rd and 4th holes including two gobblers - one being 80 foot off the green; Julie Craig played a steady game; Yvonne Cumming and Rhonda Robertson both got their balls to walk across the water at the dams; Julie Hazzard had a birdie on the 8th; Marianne Lanham had birdies at the 5th and the 14th and putted like a demon; Lyn Cruickshanks had a practice swing at the 17th and accidentally hit the ball - and it was a good shot; Lynn Puiatti had gobblers at the 4th and the 17th for 4 pointers; Judy Verlander played steady golf; Annette Dunk had a gobbler putt for 4/4; Nan Richards is recovering well from her recent hand operation; Christine Drakeford hit a great shot onto the 13th green from the 7th fairway; Helen Stuart had a gobbler 6/3 at the 18th; Carolyn Buttsworth had 4/4 at the 17th; Helen Potter's "Pink Panther" club cover turned green for today's event, Helen and her cousin Maire both painted their nails green for the St Patrick's celebration; Lorraine Linnert had a birdie at the 11th and she and Norma had two scores of 9; Narelle Medcalf & Lorraine Bignall had a 12 pointer hole; Lorraine Bignall had a gobbler at the 9th; Joyce Bosley wanted to take advantage of the free kick of the ball and had an air swing kick;
MELANOMA MARCH:
The First Melanoma Walk will be held on Sunday 24th March to unite and take action against melanoma.
The Melanoma March on the Central Coast is one of 6 sites across Australia.
The march will commence at 9.30am sharp commencing at the Reserve next to Brian McGowan Bridge and will proceed along Gosford waterfront past the Sailing Club. Live Music, sausage sizzle, cupcake stall, face painting and prizes to follow. For more information contact Bev Walker.
