The Course was still a bit heavy today but at least we had blue sky and sunshine after some brief showers. My playing partners were Eileen Major and Sheila Williams and we had a lovely day on the village green. The overall golf was not wonderful but we did some reasonably good putting which was our highlight of the day.
The Golf Event of the day was a Ladies Single Stroke & 1st GNSW & Club Medal.
We had 62 starters with one visitor - Eileen Major from USA.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Lyn Cruickshanks played a nice steady game; Kay Frewin had a gobbler at the 4th; Sheena Asken had some lucky putts with birdies at the 11th & the 14th; Judy Verlander had a birdie at the 14th; Georgina Lamb on the 2nd tee hit her drive which landed smack on the top of a metal pole and rebounded next to a tree stump and for her second shot she stood on top of the tree stump to hit her shot (wish I had been there with the camera); Debbie Grinham played nice golf so the weights in the gym and the personal trainer have paid off; Lyn Bates had a birdie on the 8th; Robyn Johnston had a good round of golf (on her 70th birthday) and had a gobbler on the 4th; Chris Dekker had a gobbler on the 9th with good putting; Marianne Lanham played well with a birdie at the 6th and a gobbler at the 11th; Lorraine Linnert had a gobbler at the 12th; Kath Payn parred the 12th; Rosie Judd parred the 15th; Robin Incoll had a nice couple of pars; Fay Bailey had 3 pars; other than some good putting we had no major highlights, I had a fight with the 3rd dam and lost badly - coming out covered in mud & Eileen Major hit a mystery ball down the fairway for her second shot on the 9th that was never to be found.
