Golf - Tuesday 13th November 2012

The Golf Event of the day was a Ladies Single Stableford - Over the Field.

We had 38 starters with visitors from Morisset.

RESULTS:

OVER THE FIELD:

WINNER:  Kath Payn - 43 points

RUNNER UP: Nan Richards - 37 points

3RD:  Margaret Davidson - 35 points on a countback

4TH:  Carolyn Buttsworth - 35 points on a countback

BALLS WENT TO:  33 points (neat)

AWCR LADIES: 73 (36 points)

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me:  Kath Payn had eight 3 pointers and a 4 pointer in her 43 points; Rosalie Dyer had good company and too many 1 pointers; Heather Robilliard had a nice day and Gina McKinnon from Morisset enjoyed her day on the course;  my highlight was having a good back 9 and having my two grandchildren waiting to surprise me when I finished golf.  I was distracted with the grandchildren and did not get to gather other highlights but everyone seemed to have a good day.  Our golf day was in shared with players participating in the CCWGA District Tournament so it was good to share the course with them.

You may have noticed the Greenstaff have got new equipment this week - A Greens Mower, A rough Cutter and a sprayer.  This will contribute to better golf course maintenance and we can see the difference in the greens already. I am sure the Greenstaff appreciate some good equipment to work with.
