We had a fantastic day for the Ladies Open Day at Gosford today. The weather was perfect and the course was playing well. The day was well supported with 80 visitors attending the Open Day.
My playing partners were Lorraine Bignall, Fran James & Mary Beard and we had a lovely day with some good highlights - the best of which was three 3 pointers on the 3 scores to count hole which impressed us no end. Our team won a ball in the ball competition so that was another highlight.
The Golf Event of the day was an OPEN DAY - Team Stableford 1 X 2 X 3 and was sponsored by ACES BRIDGE CLUB.
We had 152 starters with 80 visitors from Belmont, Everglades, Hawks Nest, Magenta Shores, Mangrove Mountain, Merewether, Pennant Hills, Shelly Beach, Terrigal, Toronto, Woolooware & Wyong.

NO HANDICAPPING TODAY.
The day did not go without drama. Our Club Patron Berry Hanley had a nasty fall at the 12th tee while playing in today's event and has badly broken her ankle. I understand that she is in good care and is being operated on this afternoon to repair her damaged leg.
If that was not bad enough Marguerita Winer from Everglades (previously of Gosford) had a car accident today badly damaging her car - but thankfully Marguerita was shaken but unharmed.
Our thoughts go out to Berry and Marguerita and we wish them both a speedy recovery.
My thanks to Maggie Minjoy for the photos from today's dramas.
