This is the first time that we have had a problem with plants growing too well in a garden.
The Aloe Vera and Yukka plants that were put in the Ladies garden at the 3rd tee had grown into mature plants in a very short amount of time and have multiplied like rabbits.
The plants in their mature stage have rather lethal needle points on the end of their leaves which were too dangerous to leave next to the entrance to the tee. An accident waiting to happen one might think. These plants will be replaced with some more Agave plants which are more people friendly.
These plants have been transferred to a safe area along the fence line at the back of the 2nd green and should grow there just as well. There were about 50 odd plants used along the fence and there is still about 100 smaller babies that need a new home. Anybody who would like an Aloe Vera or Yukka plant let me know as I doubt that we will have enough garden room on the course to cope with so many plants.
The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies.
We had 78 starters with 7 visitors from Everglades, Morisset, Shelly Beach, Tamworth & Trundle.
