The First Sue Suters Ovarian Cancer Charity Day was held at Gosford Golf Club on Monday 14th November 2011 starting with a 12.30pm shotgun start golf match which attracted a lot of supporters.
The Golf was followed by a Presentation in the Members Upstairs Lounge where the prize winners were presented with some high quality trophies.
This was followed by a Dinner in the Sunset Room at 7.00 pm which attracted 220 supporters and by all accounts the evening was very successful.
I do not have a copy of the Golf Results of the day however everyone had a great day in spite of the extreme heat conditions. If the results come to hand I will edit this posting.
Some golf highlights of the day were : Cheryl Davison - a birdie at the 8th; our playing partners today were Dale McNeill and Steve Doyle - both visitors to our club and Steve (from Fairfield GC) was our Champion Driver, Dale was our Champion Putter and Peter was our Champion putter - my contributions were few and far between however we had a great day. We met Steve's wife Marie in the Clubhouse later and had a good chat with all of the visitors. It was a really good social day that everyone enjoyed.
