A ray of brightness on a bleak day
The weather has taken a turn for the worse with showers throughout the day - not good for golf but good for the gardens that were starting to dry out.
There were no takers for golf this morning so I have no report to give.
I will take this opportunity to remind everyone:
DOON JANSEN'S ART EXHIBITION OPENS THIS FRIDAY EVENING.
DOON IS EXIBITING ABOUT 40 OF HER WORKS WHICH WILL BE OFFERED FOR SALE DURING THE EXHIBITION.
BOB KNOX, AS MOST OF YOU WOULD BE AWARE, IS AN ACCOMPLISHED VIOLIN PLAYER AND MAKER AND HIS LATEST VIOLIN WILL BE ON SHOW. THERE WILL ALSO BE A VIOLIN RENDITION ON FRIDAY EVENING.
THE EXHIBIT WILL BE IN THE SUNSET ROOM FROM 5.00 PM TO 9.00 PM OF FRIDAY EVENING 4TH NOVEMBER 2011 AND EXTENDED TO SATURDAY 5TH NOVEMBER 2011 IN THE LINKS ROOM FROM 9.00AM TO 2.00PM.
DOON'S WORK IN THIS EXHIBIT IS BASED AROUND WHAT SHE HAS SEEN AROUND GOLF COURSES AND IN DIFFERENT TOWNS. AS WE KNOW SHE IS A VERY TALENTED PAINTER & I WOULD EXPECT HER PAINTINGS WILL BE IN DEMAND.
DOON AND BOB ARE SUPPORTERS OF THE GOSFORD GOLF CLUB AND ARE ALSO ACCOMPLISHED GOLFERS HAVING PLAYED AT THE GOSFORD COURSE FOR MANY YEARS.
I AM REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO FRIDAY EVENING AND HOPE TO SEE A LOT OF YOU AT THE CLUB GIVING DOON AND BOB SOME GOOD SUPPORT.
