It was pleasing to see that we had ten dedicated F-Troopers willing to brave the elements today to get some good work done. The day did not look good to begin with but we did have enough breaks in the showers to get a lot of tasks done. We had Di Beechey, Geoff Bridge, Garry Trigg, Peter Murphy, Steve McGuckin, Peter Martin, George Foster, Georgina Lamb and Frank Whittington.
Di Beechey cleaned up at the front Entrance Gate to the club and around the BBQ area;
The boys repaired and arranged the furniture in the new Member's Lounge during showers and then between showers cut down & removed a broken branch at the 1st, trimmed the Lilly Pilly at the 10th & raked the area, trimmed the yellow hedge & shrubs at the 2nd tee & picked up rubbish around the course.
Georgina & I fertilized the camellias & azaleas at the club front area, fertilized the Magnolia garden and the gardens at the 1st, fertilized and weeded the native Ladies garden on the 13th, fertilized the tibouchinas, crepe myrtles, abelias & golden penda on the 2nd fairway, fertilized, weeded and trimmed the garden on the 2nd Men's tee.
After all that hard work we enjoyed morning tea of fresh-from-the-oven fruit pasties. Thanks John !
The Pro Am is on this Thursday so hopefully the course will stay neat & tidy for that.
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
